Kanada: Na mjestu nekadašnje škole pronađeni ostaci 215 tijela domorodačke djece

Na mjestu nekadašnje škole za starosjedilačko stanovništvo u kanadskoj pokrajini Britanska Kolumbija, pronađeni su posmrtni ostaci 215 djece.
Kanadski premijer Justin Trudeau nazvao je to tragičnim.

Neka od stradale djece imala su samo tri godine.

Između 1840-ih i 1990-ih, najmanje 150.000 straosjedilačke djece pohađalo je takozvane rezidencijalne škole.

Mnoga su prisilno odvojena od roditelja i bila žrtve zlostavljanja.

Odvjetnica i pripadnica starosjedilačkog naroda Anishinaabe, Danielle Morrison, kaže da je ovo otkriće – vrh sante leda, i da u više od 130 sličnih škola širom Kanade traje potraga za odgovorima – šta se događalo djeci koja su ih pohađala, prenosi Al Jazeera.
